The Property Feature Field Key translates the coded fields of the v2-compatible flat response shape into readable descriptions. The flat shape serves the v3 data generation through a compatibility layer, so these are the same code vocabularies as the v3 Feature Field Key, under the flat field names. Do not decode v3-generation values against pre-v3 tables. Values you persisted before August 19, 2026 decode against the Pre-v3 Code Tables (Frozen) archive.
One decode source of truth. Coded fields across both shapes now store values from the Realie code system (XX#### codes and integer scales), so the code tables are no longer duplicated here: each field below points at its table in the v3 Feature Field Key, which is authoritative for both shapes and carries the full flat-shape field-name mapping. useCode keeps its table on this page — the 4-digit scheme is unchanged. Details in the changelog.
Same four-digit scheme as the v2 API. The code definitions are stable; an individual parcel can still receive a different code in a newer source delivery because its use or source classification changed. Migrate the vocabulary by code identity rather than translating one use code into another.
Architectural style. Realie code (AS####), carried in the nested record as building.architecturalStyle.Decode with the building.architecturalStyle table in the v3 Feature Field Key — the flat and nested shapes carry identical values, and that page is the single decode source of truth.
Exterior wall material. Realie code (EW####), carried in the nested record as building.exteriorWall.Decode with the building.exteriorWall table in the v3 Feature Field Key — the flat and nested shapes carry identical values, and that page is the single decode source of truth.
Roof material (asphalt, tile, metal, …). Realie code (RM####), carried in the nested record as building.roofMaterial.Decode with the building.roofMaterial table in the v3 Feature Field Key — the flat and nested shapes carry identical values, and that page is the single decode source of truth.
Roof shape (gable, hip, mansard, …). Realie code (RS####), carried in the nested record as building.roofStyle.Decode with the building.roofStyle table in the v3 Feature Field Key — the flat and nested shapes carry identical values, and that page is the single decode source of truth.
Floor finish material. Realie code (FL####), carried in the nested record as building.flooring.Decode with the building.flooring table in the v3 Feature Field Key — the flat and nested shapes carry identical values, and that page is the single decode source of truth.
Basement extent and finish. Realie code (BS####), carried in the nested record as building.basement.Decode with the building.basement table in the v3 Feature Field Key — the flat and nested shapes carry identical values, and that page is the single decode source of truth.
Overall construction method or material. Realie code (CT####), carried in the nested record as building.construction.Decode with the building.construction table in the v3 Feature Field Key — the flat and nested shapes carry identical values, and that page is the single decode source of truth.
Garage / parking arrangement. Realie code (PK####), carried in the nested record as building.parking.Decode with the building.parking table in the v3 Feature Field Key — the flat and nested shapes carry identical values, and that page is the single decode source of truth.
Pool form. Realie code (PT####), carried in the nested record as building.pool.type.Decode with the building.pool.type table in the v3 Feature Field Key — the flat and nested shapes carry identical values, and that page is the single decode source of truth.
Lot composition of the legal parcel. Realie code (LT####), carried in the nested record as legalInformation.lotCode.Decode with the legalInformation.lotCode table in the v3 Feature Field Key — the flat and nested shapes carry identical values, and that page is the single decode source of truth.
Deed / instrument type on sale and transfer records. Realie code (TT####), carried in the nested record as salesHistory[].saleDocumentType.Decode with the salesHistory[].saleDocumentType table in the v3 Feature Field Key — the flat and nested shapes carry identical values, and that page is the single decode source of truth.
What kind of party the buyer is (individual, company, trust, …). Realie code (BE####), carried in the nested record as salesHistory[].buyerEntityType.Decode with the salesHistory[].buyerEntityType table in the v3 Feature Field Key — the flat and nested shapes carry identical values, and that page is the single decode source of truth.
How the buyers legally hold title. Realie code (BV####), carried in the nested record as salesHistory[].buyerVesting.Decode with the salesHistory[].buyerVesting table in the v3 Feature Field Key — the flat and nested shapes carry identical values, and that page is the single decode source of truth.
Why a sale is — or is not — a market (arm’s-length) transaction. The flat shape carries this per event; an absent value means the source recorded no qualification signal for that sale. Realie code (TQ####), carried in the nested record as salesHistory[].qualification.Decode with the salesHistory[].qualification table in the v3 Feature Field Key — the flat and nested shapes carry identical values, and that page is the single decode source of truth.
Foreclosure record type. The flat shape exposes the most recent record’s type. Realie code (FR####), carried in the nested record as foreclosures[].recordType.Decode with the foreclosures[].recordType table in the v3 Feature Field Key — the flat and nested shapes carry identical values, and that page is the single decode source of truth.

zoningCode and taxRateCodeArea (the assessor’s tax-district code) are jurisdiction-issued values, not members of one national code system. No global decode table exists or should be inferred; interpret them within the issuing jurisdiction.
